I have not heard of that course before. In 2 days, the most that you can realistically expect to learn is simply an introduction to acrylics. In the U.S., the requirements very in each state, but it normally takes a few hundred hours of training before one is eligible to take the boards, and become licensed. The training programs generally run for about 4-6 months, depending of a few different things - where you live, how often you attend classes, and so on.
But basically, you should be familiar with all aspects of nail care. Starting with nail anatomy, problems of the nail (infections, and so on), basic nail care (manicures), and eventually you move on to acrylic application. It takes a while to learn the basics, and only then are you really ready to actually do the application itself. There really is a lot to learn. If you are really interested in learning how to do nails, and maybe want to do it for a living, then do you have any formal nail education programs where you live? I would recommend looking around, and carefully choosing the right school for you. Not all of them are the same, some are good - or very good - and others are not so good. Take your time, and look at each carefully before deciding on one.
As for the nail trainer, I have never owned one, but I know plenty of people who do. They really are great when it comes to practicing your application skills. I think that you made a good choice by getting the nail trainer! You will love it, I'm sure!
