Yes it does make them very thin, weak, and brittle. But if you take a lot of folic acid when you take them off it will help your nails grow really fast and your new nail will be healthy and strong. Not usually. If you have them on for very long periods of time, then maybe. When you are ready to have the acrylic nails taken off, make sure you go back to the nail salon and have them do it. Don't try and do it yourself. They really shouldn't be too messed up. You could try a special nail polish to strengthen nails if you feel your nails are weak or brittle afterwards.
Artificial nail extensions are user friendly and don't damage your nail-enamel, however if your nails grow bigger naturally then there always remains a problem of nail-root breakage and besides its unhygienic too. If using artificial extensions, beware to change them regularly.

yeah they make the nails very brittle nd weak.. so bessst.. don't get the naik extensions done..! u can get those fake nails .. they're almost as good.. thaz what i did once..!
